The US Embassy announced the cessation of funding for Albanian institutions,

The US Embassy in Tirana has notified the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the suspension of funds following the order of President Donald Trump.

This order affects a long list of state institutions in the country such as ministries, SPAK and all courts, including courts of appeal, administrative courts of appeal and courts of first instance, the National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK), etc.

However, Politiko.al learns that part of this list is the Albanian-American Fund, which is also excluded from American funding, as it receives funds from the US.

The embassy did not mention it after Prime Minister Edi Rama listed a series of projects related to the Albanian-American Foundation today.

" The Board of the Albanian-American Foundation thought of offering higher education in Albania. 80 thousand dollars a year in the USA. What we are doing with the American Development Fund is to create support with scholarships, at affordable costs. We are trying to find scholarships especially for those who come from Harry Fultz," Rama said today as he spoke about a series of investments in the field of technology, from Shkodra, to Tirana, Elbasan and Vlora.

We recall that the Albanian-American Foundation has been assigned to the revitalization of Butrint, which will invest over 5 million dollars, from which profit will be generated that will again be invested in the archaeological park.

Meanwhile, the democratic opposition sent the agreement for the management of the Butrint National Park by the Albanian American Fund for Development to the Constitutional Court.

However, the Constitutional Court rejected the Democratic Party's request to repeal the law on the administration of the Butrint National Park, leaving in force the agreement for the management of the Butrint National Park by the Albanian American Fund for Development.

Two years ago, the Albanian government decided that the management of the Butrint National Park would be carried out by a foundation created by the Ministry of Culture and the AADF, for a 10-year term, with the right to renewal.
