Azerbaijan Airlines suspends flights to seven Russian cities after plane crash

Azerbaijan Airlines has announced it is suspending flights to seven Russian cities, Russian media report, after its plane crashed in Kazakhstan during a flight to Grozny, Chechnya.

Russian news agency Interfax reported that Azerbaijan Airlines will resume its flights to six major Russian cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Earlier today, an Azerbaijani airline plane bound for the Russian city of Mineralnye Vody returned to Baku after being informed that part of Russian airspace in southern Russia had been closed, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
