Rama admits: Corruption in Albania has not been defeated, not even within the SP

In the meeting of the group and ministers of the government cabinet, Rama admitted that corruption in Albania continues to remain present in some links of the state institutions, even within the SP.

While speaking in front of the Socialists, Rama said that corruption has not been defeated as a phenomenon, he even criticized his own when he said that there is a lot of work for the SP to be cleansed and gain immunity from corruption.

"Today, justice acts on the political power independently of the political power. We have placed at the disposal of justice not only a Constitution and legal space tailored for this war, but also a salary budget that, like nowhere else in Europe, is above the salary hierarchy of all institutions. The very fact that today judge prosecutors are the highest paid individuals is an absolute anomaly. But we have created it with full awareness. The truth is that even corruption in Albania today has not yet been defeated as a disturbing phenomenon, it has not yet gained immunity to corruption. There is still a lot to clean up. Even within our own party, there is still a lot of work to do to immunize against corruption" , declared Rama.
