Does he aspire to lead the DP? Here's how Tabaku responds

The most voted DP candidate in the May 11 elections, Jorida Tabaku, has commented on the rumors linking her to the leadership of the Democratic Party.

Tabaku said that she has never aspired to, nor has she ever thought of, being the leader of the largest opposition party. However, she stressed that she will be dedicated to the party, regardless of the role she holds.

"I have not thought, neither now nor in the past, about being the head of the Democratic Party. As I said, I ran for a seat in the Albanian Parliament. I will always be there for the party and it does not matter what role each of us has," she said.

Tabaku further stated that Alimehmeti, the renowned doctor, also deserves to be in the next Parliament.

She said that the DP will fight for its mandate by demanding that the votes considered invalid be counted as valid. In the Tirana District, around 17 thousand votes have been declared invalid.
