Poisoning in Gramsh, parents of children warn of protest

Parents of children who were poisoned in a state kindergarten in Gramsh have announced a protest. They are demanding answers and punishments regarding the serious case, when local institutions claim to be calm and that everything is under control.

Parents say their children have had fever and vomiting due to poisoning.

Within 24 hours, at least 12 children presented to Gramsh hospital, while some of them were kept under pediatric intensive care due to severe dehydration.

"My child had a temperature of 39 and wouldn't stop vomiting. We took him to the emergency room and only then did we learn that there were others in the same condition," one parent told the media. "The kindergarten didn't notify us of anything. We didn't even know it could be poisoning," he added.
