Igli Tare officially appointed as Milan's new Sporting Director

Igli Tare has signed the contract and will become the new sporting director of AC Milan.

According to Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Tare has now signed his contract with Milan, ensuring that he will become Milan's new sporting director. It is the Albanian's first role since leaving Lazio in 2023 after more than a decade with the Roman club.

Tare was initially believed to be close to joining Milan last month after two meetings with CEO Giorgio Furlani before things cooled down. Now, apparently after evaluating other candidates, the pace has picked up.

On Wednesday, Moretto stated that Tare was ready to sign a three-year contract - two of which are guaranteed, and the other an option. He will earn around 800,000 euros net per season in salary.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com also reports that Tare has signed a contract that will tie him to Milan for the next three years.
