Resuli: Albania is classified among the third countries, if we enter Europe we

Ervin Resuli, President of the Order of Veterinary Doctors, has harshly commented on the Albanian government's approach to the European integration process, raising serious concerns about the lack of vision and concrete benefits for citizens and businesses.

In a direct and blunt statement, Resuli emphasizes that Albania risks being integrated into the EU only politically, while not benefiting anything in terms of economy, agriculture or living standards.

He criticizes the government's delays and inability to reflect after important summits and to protect the interests of farmers and productive sectors.

"I emphasize once again that integration or access to the EU or opening up to an economic market, at the end of the day we need integration into the EU to choose markets for businesses and companies that employ people and bring income to Albania.

On the contrary, the EU does not need us if we are entering late or with free movement, those who need or must enter the EU will find the solution in one form or another. The approach and foundation of the European Union has first been in the economic aspect, that is, countries should have interconnected economies or find markets in this aspect.

Our governments in Albania do not react so quickly, so that after this summit there is a reflection of the situation. What I want to emphasize is that Albania will need many years, and what I hope will not happen in the relationship between Albania and the EU at least in the next 4-5 years is that we are politically integrated into the European family and we, on the other hand, do not benefit from the European Union in the context of increasing standards or approximation of the levels of manufacturing businesses.

The possibility cannot be ruled out that within the next 5 years our country will join the EU in principle, but this will be a cost for the citizens themselves since there is a procedure that states that the moment we become part of the EU, there is no more money going to Albania and the Albanian government's failure to listen to the EU regarding livestock funds is within the framework of this process where there is really a huge cost for citizens and businesses.

"So Albania may be politically accepted into the EU, but it will no longer be offered any kind of financial support in this specific case, in terms of food security or livestock farms with the EU," Resuli told Syri TV.
