The Kukes police have arrested a 32-year-old wanted man, suspected of attempted murder against his cousin, an incident that occurred about a year ago in the "Gostil" neighborhood.

According to the official announcement, the young man with the initials EK, a resident of Kukës, was arrested as a result of an operation based on police intelligence to locate wanted persons. The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës had previously imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him.

Investigations show that on June 15, 2024, the 32-year-old and his brother, EK, 35 (previously arrested), attempted to kill their cousin, citizen AC, using a cutting tool. According to official sources, the incident occurred for weak motives and was considered a crime committed due to family relations, but which remained an attempt.

The procedural materials have already been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukes for further investigations and legal procedures.
