Australian media: Belina Pupa faces court for cannabis cultivation, Elvis Pupa

Belina Pupa, a social media influencer, therapist and business owner, has faced court, accused of cultivating 43 cannabis plants on a property in Ascot Park.

As Australian media reports , prosecutors claim that her partner and co-defendant, the well-known comedian Elvis Pupa, has left the country.

The 39-year-old, Australian media reports, boasts a social media presence of over 80,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram - posting content focused around "helping people of all ages improve their wellbeing, physical and psychological health".

Pupa appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday and has yet to enter a plea to a charge of cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and a charge of interfering with an electricity supply without her consent.

On Tuesday, before Magistrate Natalie Browne, Pupa's defence lawyer requested a change to her client's current parole conditions, which would allow her to travel abroad for work purposes.

On Tuesday, prosecutors rejected Ms. Pupa's request for bail both because of the seriousness of the charges and because her partner - a co-defendant - was allegedly still at large.
