DP's denunciation: How does the company of family members of SP deputy Xhemal Qefalia win the food tenders, without a competitor

The Democratic Party has denounced a company owned by the family members of the Socialist MP of Tirana, Xhemal Qefalia, for winning food tenders without competition.

In a statement to the media, the spokeswoman for Anti-Corruption of the DP, Genta Vangjeli, has published the documents and says that the Dajti Park 07 firm from 2014 to 2023 benefited from 1,998 transactions with a total value of 21.8 billion ALL.

Dajti Park 07, a company owned by the family members of the socialist deputy of Tirana, Xhemal Qefalia, from 2014 to 2023 has benefited from 1998 transactions with a total value of 21.8 billion ALL.

This company has changed its name 2 times, like most SP deputies, changing from Qefalia shpk, as it was first registered in 1999, to Vllaznia shpk in 2006.  

Since 2016, it is known as Dajti Park 07 shpk.

It must be said that Qefalia's millionaire contracts are not with foreign or private companies, but with tendered public institutions, often without prior announcement of the contract.

So, in direct use of Qefalia's status as a deputy and as connected to power.

The contracts are mainly with the object 'Food supplies and services for canteens', specifically paid by:

Dajt Municipality,

Linz Victim Reception Center,

Babrru Asylum Seekers Center,

Military Ward No. 4300 Tirana,

Durrës Municipality, Tirana Municipality,

INSTAT, KKP

Luigj Gurakuqi School,

General Directorate of Prisons,

Ministry of Education, Science, Social Welfare,

As can be seen from the list, the municipality of Dajti is one of the contractors of Qefalia shpk. It is no coincidence that Qefalia is also the surname of the mayor, then administrator of Dajt municipality.

Has 'Qefalia shpk 1998' ever benefited from coincidences, from 2014 onwards, or from the fact that the Qefalia are deputies or mayors of the Socialist Party?

Has the influence of the deputy or the Dajt municipality administrator, who is also in a conflict of interest, influenced?

Are these violations investigated and punishable by law or is the law not equal for all?

Do the deputies of the Assembly of Albania know that the funds of billions of lek obtained with public contracts can be the subject of investigations by justice?

These are the questions we ask today for those interested, both for the Qefalia clan and for the Special Prosecutor's Office.
