DP chairman Lulzim Basha won a third term at the helm of the party. The Chairman of the Election Commission, Jemin Gjana, officially announced the winner, although 24 hours ago, on Sunday evening, the DP forwarded the preliminary results. There were no surprises at the end of the count. Lulzim Basha's strongest opponent in this race, Agron Shehaj received 6038 votes. Four years ago, the only candidate against Basha, Eduard Selami received 5,132 votes.

In 2017 he received 91% of the votes against Selam. In the 2021 elections he received about 80% of the votes of the members who voted for him. come down significantly for the PD.

If we refer to the 2013 elections, the DP membership list included 120,000 members. In the 2013 elections in the race between Lulzim Basha and Sokol Olldashi the number of members who voted was 41,532 while unused ballots were 78,468.
