What is known so far about the 266-page 'Aktiv1sti' list. The opposition accuses the administration of manipulation, the SP denies

The Aktiv1sti application created to promote the work of socialists through reposts, likes and comments has sparked debate and reactions for days.

Clashes have escalated since the evening of February 7, when a list of employees of the Albanian state institutions was distributed in the media, with 266 pages, including people of justice, police, doctors, teachers, etc.

What is the "Aktiv1sti" application

The "Aktiv1sti" application was presented by the Socialist Party in April last year. At that time, it was announced that any person and not only members of the Socialist Party could become part of that application.

In relation to this application, the opposition has accused the Socialist Party and requested an investigation by SPAK. The Secretary for Public Relations in DP, Jola Hysaj, said on February 6 that public employees have been ordered to download the application and like or share the posts of government ministers.

Reactions from the SP and the opposition

The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, asked the judiciary to investigate the use of the "Activist" application by the Socialist Party as an electoral crime.

According to him, the administration is being pressured to download and use this application, through which the activities of the Government and institutions run by the majority are echoed.

The spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Floriana Garo, was on the same line. In a statement to the media, Garo said that part of the list of people who have downloaded the SP's 'Activist' application are well-known names from the former General Prosecutor, Ina Rama to Alfred Balla, a member of the KLP.

Garo added that in this case the opposition has no one to turn to for investigation because the prosecutors and judges themselves are part of this application.

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku denied these accusations, describing it as a transparent application that can be accessed by all smartphone users.

“Partia Socialiste do të ndjekë në rrugë ligjore nxjerrjen, manipulimin dhe fabrikimin e të dhënave të rrjetit social të aktivistëve të saj, i cili është lehtësisht i verifikueshëm si një mekanizëm komunikimi i brendshëm mbi bazën e vullnetarizmit të çdo përdoruesi.

Çdo përpjekje e dëshpëruar propagandistike për të hedhur edhe më shumë baltë mbi PS thjesht na rrit dëshirën dhe na forcon vullnetin tonë në rrugën e një fitoreje tjetër kuptimplotë, më 14 maj, kur falë edhe rrjetit tonë social të aktivistëve Partia Socialiste do të jetë shumë hapa përpara kundërshtarëve të çoroditur e të dëshpëruar”, shkruan Rama.

Kreu i Grupit Parlamentar të PS-së u pyet nga gazetarët edhe nëse partia në të cilën ai bën pjesë po i ushtron presion administratës përmes aplikacionit “Aktivisti.”

Balla sqaroi se njëlloj si patronazhistët, ky aplikacion është një tjetër tipar që tregon se PS-ja është një parti e mirorganizuar sidomos kur vjen momenti për fushata elektorale. Balla përmendi praktika të ngjashme të ndjekura në SHBA.

"If you will be given the opportunity to go and follow the organization of an election campaign of the American Democratic Party or the Christian Democratic Party in Germany, you will understand that it is the same thing. Obama in 2012 declared that the traditional campaign, with the traditional way, ended in 2012", said Balla.

Even the Deputy Minister Etjen Xhafaj rejects the accusations of the opposition that the leftist government is putting pressure on the administration for likes, shares and comments. The socialist even "bets" his mandate on this accusation.

"We don't put pressure on him, because we don't know where he works. If you bring me a case that has been removed from work, I leave the mandate", said Xhafaj.
