The judicial process against Moisi Habilaj and the other three defendants, Nezar Seiti, Meridian Sulaj and Fatmir Minaj, restarts today in the Special Court.

In April 2023, the Special Appeal returned the case for retrial, but with a different panel. The special appeal found procedural violations during the trial phase in absentia.

In the first instance, Moisi Habilaj was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, while Nezar Seiti, Maridjan Sulaj and Fatmir Minaj were sentenced to 13.6 years each.

For the four convicts, the shortened trial was applied and they will benefit from the reduction of 1/3 of the sentence.
