The total production of vegetables in 2022 marked a weak growth of only 1.4% compared to 2021.

Cereals suffered a slight decline, while greenhouse production increased by 7% and olive production due to last year's good season.

In 2022, the production of cereals is 690,854 tons. The highest level was recorded in Fier County with 171,017 tons, followed by Elbasan and Korçë counties with 95,376 tons and 81,092 tons.

Potato production reached 262,673 tons. The districts with the highest level of potato production in the country are Korça with 64,956 tons, Fieri with 47,500 tons and Elbasan with 30,173 tons.

Compared to a year ago, the production of the group of industrial plants decreased by 9.89% and the production of beans by 2.89%.

In 2022, the production of vegetables is 1,357,825 tons. The highest level of vegetable production is in the counties of Fier with 534,351 tons, Berat with 139,775 tons and Tirana with 136,951 tons.

Fresh vegetables represent 67.38% of the total vegetables, followed by melons with 23.07% and dried vegetables with 9.55%.

In 2022, 914,958 tons of fresh vegetables were produced. In the group of fresh vegetables, the representative crops are tomato with 315,057 tons (34.41%), cucumber 129,896 tons (14.19%) and pepper 97,017 (10.59%).

In the group of dried vegetables, dry onion represents 84.01% of the total production, while in the group of citrus fruits, watermelon represents 81.99% of the production of this group.

The production of vegetables in greenhouses represents 22.90% of the total production of vegetables, of which 79.87% of this production belongs to the District of Fier and Berat.

In 2022, production in greenhouses has increased by 7.22%, compared to the previous year. Tomato production accounts for 51.6% of the total production in greenhouses.

The district with the highest percentage of vegetable production in greenhouses to the total vegetable production is Berati with 68.78% and Fieri 28.49%, the lowest percentage is recorded in Korçë and Gjirokastër districts with 0.16% and 0.42% .

The production of fruit trees in 2022 is 295,428 tons, increasing by 2.86%, compared to 2021. The highest level of fruit tree production was achieved in Korça county with 82,947 tons, followed by Elbasan counties with 41,649 tons and Fern with 36,155 tons.

Grupi i pemëve frutore me farë zë 41,96% të prodhimit, peshën kryesore në këtë grup e zë prodhimi i mollëve, ku vetëm Qarku i Korçës zë 62,97% të prodhimit të mollëve gjithsej në vend.

Në grupin e pemëve frutore me bërthamë (bërthamore), peshën më të madhe e zënë prodhimi i kumbullave me 46,31%, pasuar nga qershitë me 24,99% dhe pjeshkët me 23,05%.

Në vitin 2022, shegët zënë 23,97% të prodhimit në grupin e pemëve frutore subtropikale duke shënuar një rritje prej 45.12%, krahasuar me vitin 2021. Arrat dhe gështenjat zënë 81% të prodhimit në grupin e pemëve frutore arrore.

Në vitin 2022, prodhimi i arrave është rritur me 18,24%, krahasuar me një vit më parë. Niveli më i lartë i prodhimit në këtë grup është shënuar në qarkun e Dibrës me 2.871 tonë. Në vitin 2022, u prodhuan 157.710 tonë ullinj, duke shënuar rritje me 43,16%, krahasuar me një vit më parë, niveli më i lartë i prodhimit të ullirit u arrit në qarkun e Fierit me 43.827 tonë.

Prodhimi i ullirit ne qarkun e Beratit ka shënuar një rritje prej 186,68%. Varietet e ullirit për vaj përfaqësojnë 81,71% të prodhimit gjithsej dhe varietetet e ullirit për tavolinë përfaqësojnë 18,29%. Prodhimi i agrumeve në vitin 2022 është 55.118 tonë.
