Officials were denigrated with fake news, the journalist and the AMP employee

An employee of the Police Oversight Agency in the Durrës Regional Directorate and a journalist have been arrested after being accused of creating false information against several officials of various institutions in order to denigrate their image.

Police notification: 

As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested:

RO, 34 years old, employee at the Police Supervision Agency in the Durrës Regional Directorate;

EH, 35 years old, journalist by profession.

Also, a citizen KS, 39 years old, with the duty of sector chief in the General Directorate of the Police Supervision Agency, was declared wanted.

During the conducted investigations, it was found that these three citizens, in cooperation with each other, changed and deleted computer data in text formats, without the right, to create false data against several holders of different institutions, denigrating the figure theirs, in order to present and use them as authentic, on a website.

As material evidence, 2 mobile phones were seized.

Work continues to identify other citizens involved in this criminal activity.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
