Execution of Behar Sofia, SPAK extends the investigation by three months

SPAK has extended for three months the investigation into the criminal case of the murder of businessman Behar Sofia, on February 25 last year, near the pyramid.

The decision was taken by SPAK due to the expectation of responses that are valuable in this process. The five suspected murder perpetrators who are currently under arrest will be brought to justice to stand trial on the charges against them.

Known as the 'drug lord', Behar Sofia was executed along the Lana River opposite the Pyramid, as she was walking after consuming her morning coffee.

Sofia was shot with a silencer gun near the Pyramid, not far from his apartment. The 66-year-old was found lying on the ground, but despite being taken to hospital for medical treatment, he died.

Sofia assassin Ernejt Shyti, 24, in his testimony before the police, stated that he had been following the victim for days with a photo in his hand. Along with Shyti, part of the criminal group were also Xhuljano Visha 28 years old, Leonard Xhixha 30 years old and Skënder Vathi 54 years old.

The author claimed that he was promised a reward of 50 thousand euros in case Behar Sofia was executed. Shyti along with his three accomplices were left in the cell.
