Gerard Pique announced yesterday that he is retiring from the world of football. The Spanish striker of Barcelona said that Saturday will be his last match at Camp Nou.

But, apparently, the scenarios of Pique 's departure speak more about a return to the center of Spanish football. The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, in a statement to the media, has not ruled out the possibility of Pique taking over the management of the Spanish club.

Tebas called him a historic player, offering him as a contender to dethrone Laporta.
