The court leaves Dodë Rica in prison, the owner of the network of night

The Durrës Court has decided the security measure "arrest in prison" for Dodë Rica, owner of a network of strip clubs in Albania and Kosovo, after his arrest by the Albanian police.

Rica, 47 years old, originally from Mirdita and living in Tirana, is accused of human trafficking in Kosovo. For this reason, the Court of Pristina had previously assigned the security measure "arrest in prison" in absentia.

Rica's arrest was carried out in Durrës, after the denunciations of several Albanian and foreign ballerinas, who had previously worked in one of his clubs, in Pristina.

These denunciations, made days ago, accuse Rica of trafficking in human beings and of bringing them illegally to employ them in his clubs. After the denunciation, the Kosovar authorities immediately informed the Albanian authorities about his location and arrest.

Dodë Rica is known as the owner of the network of night clubs "Strip Club Shqiponja".

The Court of Durrës, this weekend, assessed his arrest as legal for the purposes of extradition to Kosovo, where he is being prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Human Trafficking," according to the Criminal Code of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the Court of Durrës declared itself incompetent for this matter and decided that the acts be sent to the Court of Tirana, which is competent for judging the case with the purpose of extradition.

With a separate decision, the Court ordered the Local Directorate of the Durrës Police, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Tirana Prisons, to ensure the accompaniment of Rica to the burial of his mother in the Kombinat cemetery, Tirana
