Tirana incinerator, Taulant Tushe, claims innocence: I have been imprisoned

Former director of the Tirana Municipality, Taulant Tushe, has pleaded not guilty in connection with the Tirana incinerator affair.

At the GJKKO, where the hearing on the Tirana incinerator case is taking place, for which the Special Prosecution Office presented its final conclusions a few weeks ago, Tushe has sent a letter from prison.

Tushe claims that he and the Municipality of Tirana have tried to do their best and that there have been no complaints to the Public Procurement Agency regarding this concession.

Tushe: I have been imprisoned without trial. Regarding the waste process, I and the Municipality of Tirana have tried to do our best. There was no complaint about this concession at the Public Procurement Agency.

We, as the Municipality, did our duty to the best of our ability. With this standard that you have set, other administration employees may feel endangered and afraid. I ask to be declared innocent.
