Former Kosovo President Offers House to Albanian Music Icon, Parashqevi Simaku

Albanian artist Parashqevi Simaku, who appeared in a video on the streets of New York as homeless, will have the support of former Kosovo President Behgjet Pacolli and humanist Halil Kastrati, to provide her with an apartment in Kosovo or Albania.

On social media, Pacolli writes that the "Balkan Orphans" Association and the "Behgjet Pacolli" Foundation are ready to help the former Albanian singer not only with an apartment, but also with the costs of her transfer, as well as by guaranteeing her adequate employment or a monthly pension.

"During a meeting we had today with the humanist Halil Kastrati and the former Kosovo Consul in Canada @ Donat Syla, the latter informed us in detail about the serious condition of the famous Albanian singer, Parashqevi Simaku. We, the "Orphans of the Balkans" Association and the "Behgjet Pacolli" Foundation, express our willingness to make an apartment available and to take over all the expenses for her transfer to Kosovo or Albania, guaranteeing her adequate employment or a monthly pension. Our society must take care of the personalities who have given so much to the nation !", Pacolli's post reads.
