After the failure of "Diella", the government introduces

After introducing "Diella", the virtual assistant that was advertised as a help for citizens and the administration, the Albanian Government has now also launched "Ylli", the first virtual assistant for Albanian farmers.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, presented the new platform based on Artificial Intelligence, describing it as a step towards the digital revolution in agriculture.

According to the minister, "Ylli" will be a virtual assistant accessible from a mobile phone, capable of communicating in Albanian and providing real-time information to farmers.

However, the presentation of the new project comes at a time when "Diella", the government's virtual assistant promoted with fanfare months ago, has been accompanied by complaints and criticism from users.

Many citizens have reported problems with its functioning, while expectations for the transformation of public services through Artificial Intelligence have not been fulfilled according to initial promises.

In this context, the birth of “Yllit” raises questions about whether the government is expanding into new technological projects without first solving the problems of existing platforms. This becomes even more sensitive in the agricultural sector, which has been facing numerous difficulties for years, from the lack of subsidies and high production costs, to the abandonment of rural areas.

While the government talks about a digital revolution, it remains to be seen whether "Ylli" will manage to deliver concrete results for Albanian farmers, or whether it will follow the fate of "Diella", which, according to critics, failed to become the efficient instrument it was promised.
