Rapists and drug addicts, who are the 40 immigrants brought to Albania?

Who are the 40 illegal immigrants who have been issued a deportation order due to social danger and transferred to the Gjader CPR in Albania aboard the Navy ship Libra?

From the first leaked information, at least 60% of these immigrants have a police record for multiple crimes: some have a conviction for attempted murder, five have been found guilty of sexual violence, many of them have final convictions for soliciting minors, drugs and crimes against the person or property, according to the police force database.

They have one thing in common: each of them has provided false personal information at least once.

According to what Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi explained, these illegal immigrants have been selected for "detention" in the CPRs, giving priority to people who, in addition to being irregular because they do not have a residence permit, are socially dangerous due to previous crimes.

The law states that among those to be held in the CPR before deportation, priority should be given to those considered a threat to public order and security “or who have been convicted, even with a non-final sentence, of crimes for which mandatory arrest in flagrante delicto or special social alarm is provided”, the Minister of the Interior specified in a press conference. Hence the need for transfer in groups, as “persons transferred under conditions of restriction of personal freedom also as a result of a provision made by the judicial authority”.

Among the immigrants transferred to the CPR in Albania, there are at least four socially dangerous people. One of them, originally from North Africa, was released from prison on March 30 after a cumulative sentence of one year, five months and 27 days in prison for the crimes of weapons possession, theft and resisting a public official.

He has received numerous convictions for theft, robbery, illegal possession of weapons and assault. He allegedly used numerous aliases, never attempted to regularize his status by applying for a residence permit and in practice remained completely clandestine since his entry into the country.

The first time he was stopped and photographed for illegal entry into Italy dates back to November 8, 2016. Subsequently, he was arrested several times for crimes against property and the person and has repeatedly declared false personal data.
