Albanian students' protest in Skopje, former ambassador reacts: Support

The former Albanian ambassador to Skopje, Arben Çejku, has called the protest of Albanian students in North Macedonia legitimate.
In a message on Facebook, Çejku writes that all factors, regardless of political beliefs, should support it. 

"For all Albanian party representatives in yesterday's and today's governments, I have a message: work honestly and fulfill the promises to your voters until the end when you are in power, so that you are not called "hypocrites" tomorrow in the opposition, when you line up alongside the protesters!

The problem of not taking the bar exam in the Albanian language is just one of many other problems of injustice that have been and are being done to Albanians, therefore, instead of mutual accusations - political parties should reflect on the mistakes and omissions made and converge in support of their citizens!

For the Minister of Justice and all other officials, I have a clear message: Implement the law on languages ​​and give Albanian students the right they deserve, both according to the recommendation of the Ombudsman, but also according to all the legitimate rights of a changing population such as Albanians! Every bureaucratic twist of today's statesmen with the so-called "legal justifications" is a stab in the back that is being inflicted on stability and interethnic coexistence in North Macedonia, which has enough challenges to overcome and does not have the luxury of taking steps back and behaving like FYROM in the 2000s!


Even then, there were bureaucrats with a nationalist mentality, who pretended to defend the rotten articles of the former constitution, but the cost of the conflict was great for the entire country and all ethnicities!

"I support every student and citizen protest that takes place for freedoms and human rights, for a European and democratic Macedonia, and I encourage the current government to find urgent solutions to the demands of Albanian students," writes former ambassador Arben Çejku.
