A serious incident occurred in Lushnja, where a 43-year-old man from Tirana lost his life in an accident during a police pursuit, as official sources explained that before this fatal incident, the victim had gone near the police station, making dangerous maneuvers with his vehicle and screaming.

"Around 01:45, the employees of the operational room of the Lushnja Police Station, through security cameras, have observed in front of the Police Station, a "Mercedes-Benz" type vehicle, performing erratic maneuvers, and then the driver of the vehicle got out of the vehicle shouting in front of the Police Station, an action he repeated several times. Under these conditions, the operational room has notified the General Patrol that was on duty in the city, to approach the Police Station, in order to verify the driver of the vehicle and the reason for his behavior", the local police announced.

According to the dynamics, when the driver saw the Patrol, he got into his vehicle and drove away at high speed. But at the place called "Plasmasi" he crashed into a roundabout and as a result lost his life.

"The driver of the vehicle, as soon as he saw the General Patrol coming towards the Police Station, drove away at high speed and after a few minutes it is suspected that due to the high speed and the driver's loss of control over the direction of the vehicle, the vehicle collided with the side curbs of the road, at the place called "Plasmas Roundabout" and overturned. As a result, the driver of the vehicle, citizen E. Xh., 43 years old, resident of Tirana, lost his life," the police announced about the circumstances.

The reasons why the 43-year-old from the capital went to the police station to commit those acts are unknown, but the incident is still under investigation.
