Ernis Xhumari, 43, lost his life after an accident at the site called "Plasmast Recirculation", in Lushnje. Xhumari is the brother of Deputy Minister of Environment, Elda Xhumari.

As the police report, at around 01:45, employees of the Lushnja Police Station's operations room, through security cameras, observed a "Mercedes-Benz" performing erratic maneuvers in front of the police station.

The driver, Ernis Xhumari, got out of the vehicle and shouted at the officers. The General Patrol approached to verify the vehicle and the reason for the 43-year-old's behavior.

As soon as Xhumari saw the patrol, he sped away and after a few minutes, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the side curbs. As a result, the 43-year-old lost his life.
