Vetting/ Appealed the decision of the KPK, the Appeals Board makes the final

The Special Board of Appeal has confirmed the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, which provided for the dismissal of judge Fatmira Hajdari, due to problems with wealth.

According to the appealed decision of the KPK, Hajdari did not justify the transactions with the properties and the construction of a 10-story building without permission.

This decision finally removes Fatmira Hajdari from the justice system.

The panel of judges of the Special Appeal Board, consisting of Natasha Mulaj chairperson, Ina Rama relator, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Schuetz, Sokol Çomo members, announced the decision on case (JR) no. 39/2020, dated 21.09.2020, which relates with the appeal of the reassessment subject Fatmira Hajdaraj (Hajdari) against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 265, dated 18.06.2020.

At the end of the trial in the consultation room, the panel, based on article 66, point 1, letter "a" of law no. 84/2016, "On the transitional re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", unanimously decided :

1. The enforcement of decision no. 265, dated 18.06.2020 of the Independent Qualification Commission, which belongs to the subject of reassessment Fatmira Hajdaraj (Hajdari).

2. This decision is final and has immediate effect.

It was announced, in Tirana, on 24.10.2022.

Fatmira Hajdari, who is the widow of Azem Hajdari, the deputy and one of the leaders of the December movement against the dictatorship in the 90s, killed in 1998. She started her career in the justice system in 2003 as a judge of the Court of Tirana . In July 2013, Hajdari was decreed by the President as a judge in the Court of Appeal of Tirana.
