The Civil Protection Commission in the Kukes Prefecture has provided details regarding the firefighting operation in the Malzi administrative unit.

According to the Civil Defense announcement, firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by reducing the intensity of the flames.

Due to the difficult terrain, intervention from the ground is impossible, so it was operated only by helicopter. At least 6 water throws were made today, while the Prefecture of Kukës has requested that the operation continue from the air tomorrow.
