Albanian elected as MP in the Parliament of the Canton of Bern

Albanian Shesime Osmani is elected as a member of the Bern Canton Parliament. In the elections held yesterday, the citizens of the Bern Canton elected the 160-member Cantonal Parliament.

As Gazeta Express writes, one of the new faces elected yesterday to this parliament is the young woman with roots from Kicevo, North Macedonia, Shasime Osmani, from the Social Democratic Party.

The two main parties, the Swiss People's Party (SVP) and the Social Democratic Party (SP), have increased their number of parliamentarians, while the centrist parties lost ground.

Shasimja has completed her business training and also received a professional diploma.  “I want to be the voice of those who may not always be heard and are afraid of being kicked out as soon as they speak out,” Osmani said during the election campaign.
