The Turkish media reveals details of Rama's plan: the Bektashi state will have a secret service, but not an army and courts

The Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama stated that they will create a formation that will be called "Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order" in the capital Tirana and that the plans for this structure will be announced in the near future.

Rama answered the questions of The New York Times (NYT), one of the leading media organizations in the USA, where he stated that the goal of the new state is to promote a tolerant understanding of Islam that Albania is proud of and said that "We must protect this treasure, i.e. religious tolerance and let's never underestimate it". 

Rama stated that only some of his closest aides knew of the plan and that NATO allies such as the United States were not informed.

Expressing that in the near future he will announce the plans of a formation that will be created in the capital Tirana and called the "Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order", Rama declared that the creation of this structure will take time.

TURKISH MEDIA DISCLOSES DETAILS

Turkish media hurriyet.com writes that a team of legal experts, including international lawyers, is preparing a draft law that defines the sovereign status of the new state. 

The bill must be approved by Parliament, which is controlled by Rama's ruling Socialist Party. While it is still unclear which countries will recognize the sovereignty of the Bektashi state if it is implemented, Rama says that he does not care about the reaction that may come from Iran.

We recall that Albania severed diplomatic relations with Iran on the grounds that it was behind the cyber attacks on state institutions in 2022.
