Greece increases minimum wage again, Albanian immigrants also benefit

Greece has again increased the minimum wage for employees.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the increase in the monthly minimum wage to 920 euros, an increase of 40 euros from last year.

This is the sixth consecutive increase since 2022, with an accumulated progress of +41.5% since 2019. In addition to the minimum wage, the increase also includes three-year schemes, public sector wage levels, and some additional benefits.

"The power to distinguish the important from the unimportant in a changing world is what should guide our country ," said the Greek prime minister.

The increase will take effect on April 1, while the target for a minimum wage of 950 euros by 2027 remains.

All Albanian immigrants living and working in Greece will also benefit from this increase.
