Technical problems, Hamburg-Pristina flight with 155 passengers makes emergency

The plane with 155 passengers that was departing from Hamburg to Pristina made an emergency landing in Belgrade, at the "Nikola Tesla" airport in Belgrade due to technical problems.

The Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, has explained that the Eurowings airline flight, number EW5704, departing from Hamburg at 2:30 PM, was forced to land in Belgrade for security reasons.


"Today, the scheduled flight from Hamburg - Germany to Pristina by the air operator 'Eurowings' (Flt.Nr. EW5704), departing from Hamburg at 14:30, with 155 passengers on board, was forced to land at 'Nikola Tesla' airport in Belgrade due to technical reasons," Aliu announced.

According to him, after the incident, the air operator took immediate measures by organizing an alternative plane to transport passengers.

The second plane, flight number EW6005, picked up the remaining passengers in Belgrade and flew to Cologne, Germany, where it was expected to land after midnight.

Minister Aliu assured citizens that Kosovo state authorities and Pristina airport were in constant communication with the airline to guarantee the safety and well-being of passengers.
