PD allies with parliamentary group, Ndoka: The country does not need only two

The leader of the Christian Democrats, Nard Ndoka, comments on the debate within Lulzim Basha's allies to come out with a parliamentary group outside the DP in the Assembly.

Speaking to Fax News, Ndoka says the creation of a parliamentary group by small opposition parties increases the power of hearing their voice in parliament.

" Despite the fact that I am not part of the Albanian Parliament, I am part of the Opposition and it was the idea for the opposition political parties to have a parliamentary group. The Rules of Procedure of the Assembly require 7 deputies to form a parliamentary group and the Socialist Movement for Integration has 4 deputies, who can combine and co-operate with other deputies from other opposition parties. As there was no official approach by the Democratic Party the other parties tried to at least coordinate with each other and exchange views on how they would be organized for their representation in Parliament.

"It is necessary for the opposition parties to be together to create a parliamentary group, so that their voice can be heard more ," Ndoka said.

Ndoka also said that the signal given by the leader of the Democrats Basha for the mistakes made with the constitutional changes of 2008, are a hope for the return of political pluralism in the country and an end to the bipolarity of the PD / SP political scene.

"Mr. Basha himself has given a sign that the constitutional changes of 2008 were a mistake.

Better late than never Mr. Basha has reflected. I do not know honestly or not, but I know that the country does not need only two garrisons that have brought many problems to Albanians, their economy and political pluralism.

A larger political space, in other words, is a necessity for Albanian politics. "This gives opportunities for new parties to be represented in parliament, " Ndoka concluded.
