Alibeaj expelled 4 MPs, as Salianji's movement to take over the DP group

MP Enkeled Alibeaj announced yesterday that he had expelled 4 PD MPs from the group.

The decision came after since December, MP Ervin Salianji has been collecting signatures to dismiss Enkelejd Alibeaj from the leadership of the parliamentary group. To get the chair of Lulzim Basha's successor in the DP, the democratic deputy needs 21 signatures.

However, this new movement within the democratic group has worried Enkelejd Alibeajn a little, who pulled out of the drawers the decision to exclude from the parliamentary group the four democratic deputies supporting Berisha: Oerd Bylykbashi, Belind Kellici, Agron Shehaj and Tritan Shehu.

"Today, on 10.01.2023, the 1-year deadline for complete and public distancing from the acts of violence against the Democratic Party of the suspended MP Tritan Shehu has ended; Oerd Bylykbashi; Belind Kellici and Agron Shehaj. In the absence of the act of distancing, from today the measure of their official removal from the Parliamentary Group will come into force", announced the press office of Enkelejd Alibeaj.

Already, Alibeaj's exclusions changed the battle of numbers in the democratic parliamentary group, since Salianj from 21 firms, needs 18 to take the leadership of the group, while the DP parliamentary group counts 35 deputies.

For this reason, the deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Salianji, was also seen today following the meetings with the deputies of the parliamentary group of the Democrats on the steps of the DP headquarters.

Meanwhile, many MPs, including those aligned with Alibeajt's group, have described the latter's decision to exclude 4 of their colleagues from the group as a masquerade.

This step accelerated other developments, for the legal mandate of whose representation the parties are in court proceedings.

The appeal has not yet made a decision on this legal conflict between the groups, which, unable to withdraw from extreme positions, await its decision, while they have separately started preparations for the May 14 local elections.
