Three DP deputies are ready to leave their mandate for the local elections

The 'fever' for the 2023 local elections is increasing, while in DP there are still two days left to announce the candidacies for primaries.

Today it was the vice president of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, who officially announced his candidacy for the primary for the Municipality of Elbasan, as Politiko.al warned a few days ago by contacting the democratic deputy himself.

So far, Boçi is the only candidate who has expressed his ambition for the Municipality of Elbasan. We also remember that he is among the few who broke the tie in the last parliamentary elections by being elected deputy of the Democratic Party.

In his place, according to the list of the CEC, Qani Xhafa is expected to enter the parliament.

Earlier, and one of the most commented names is the deputy Belind Këlliçi, who has announced his candidacy for the Municipality of Tirana.

In addition to the strong race for the capital's municipality, Kelliçi must first overcome another strong challenge, that 'within the type', because in the primary race several names have announced their candidacies, such as the doctor Alimehmeti, the former MP Gerti Bogdani, the actor Julian Deda, lawyer Adriana Kalaja, Fatmir Merkoçi, etc.

Likewise, another deputy is ready to leave the assembly for the local elections. Zef Hila has announced his candidacy for the municipality of Vau i Deja.

Hila wants to return to the head of the municipality of Vau i Deja, after having run it from 2015-2019, when PD decided to boycott the elections.
