A serious accident occurred yesterday afternoon on Rruga e Arbri, on the Bulqizë-Maqellar axis, at the bridge in the village of Gjoricë.

The 'Benz' type vehicle driven by E. L, 28 years old, collided with another 'Benz' vehicle, as a result of which three people lost their lives and 4 others were injured. The 28-year-old was ordered to be arrested today while he is in the Trauma Hospital, where he is receiving medical help.

Two brothers and the wife of one of them lost their lives in one vehicle.

"Specialists of the Road Police Sector in DVP Dibër, arrested the citizen EL, 28 years old, resident in the village of Bllatë, Dibër. His arrest was made after on 04.01.2023 at around 18.15, on the road axis Bulqizë-Maqellare at the bridge in the village of Gjoricë, while driving a 'Benz' type vehicle, he collided with another 'Benz' type vehicle, which was driven by a KI citizen. , 55 years old, resident of Maqellare. As a result of this accident, the driver of the vehicle, citizen KI, and the two passengers MI(D), 74 years old, died; LI, 51 years old. As a result of this accident, FI citizens, 55 years old, were injured; KM, 18 years old; ML, 24 years old and citizen EL, who are receiving medical help in the hospital. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance Dibër for further actions" , the police informs.
