Meanwhile, verification for him had started before the election. The Prosecution also received information from the US embassy, ​​after Doshi was declared "non grata" in the US for corruption.

The verification by the Prosecution started at the request of the Democratic Party, which demanded that the CEC not accept Doshi's candidacy in the elections on the grounds that he was "non grata".

The CEC also requested an in-depth investigation into Doshi. The CEC will assess whether or not there is a violation of the decriminalization law by Tom Doshi, but in any case he withdrew from the mandate of deputy.
