Rama in the USA not for the diaspora, but for the NBA and Soros' birthday

Rama in the USA not for the diaspora, but for the NBA and Soros' birthday

The meeting with the Albanians in New York does not seem to be the main reason for Edi Rama's trip to the USA. Last evening, the Prime Minister enjoyed a basketball game from what is considered a luxury in New York.

Rama was seen near the court with a hat on his head during the match between the 'New York Knickers' and the 'Indiana Pacers'. Tickets for these matches, depending on where you sit, go up to 8 thousand dollars in some cases. It is not yet known how much the Albanian prime minister paid in this case.

Besides the match, another very significant reason for his visit to the USA is the birthday of Alex Soros, the son of the billionaire of the Open Society Foundation, with whom Edi Rama has a very special relationship.

So, the Albanians in the diaspora are not the most important event for the prime minister. This meeting is simply an "accessory" that he moves or adjusts depending on Alex Soros' birthday or even a basketball game.

Rama's expenses for charter trips, exhibitions or other vanity events like this basketball game have never been made transparent. The opposition requested a year ago a commission of inquiry on this matter, but that was rejected by the majority.
