Albania severed diplomatic relations, Iran reacts: Baseless accusations

Iran's reaction comes after Albania severed diplomatic relations with it after the cyber attacks in our country.

The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Ka'nani, rejected the Albanian government's claims and said that the Iranian Foreign Ministry "considers Albania's decision to cut off political relations with our country based on such baseless claims and that it is an action thoughtless and short-sighted in international relations", the local media write.

"As one of the countries that has been the target of cyber attacks on its critical infrastructure, the Islamic Republic of Iran opposes and condemns any use of cyber space as a means to attack the infrastructure of other countries," said the Iranian minister.

He said that third countries that support terrorism have played a key role in Albania's wrong decision, referring here to Israel and the United States of America.

Further, in the statement of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, it is stated that the immediate statements of the US and Israeli regimes after Albania's announcement indicate a new conspiracy and campaign against Iran.

The statement further noted Albania's sheltering of the Mujahideen in Manza and expressed regret that Tirana had been influenced in its inappropriate decisions by third parties.
