Villa in Palasa? Meloni: I never thought about it!

The Prime Minister of Italy, Girogia Meloni has denied the news published by the Italian media "Il Foglio" that she is interested in buying a private villa in Palasa in Albania.

The news was announced by the well-known Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, according to which Meloni was shocked by the news and the ease with which it spread.

"It is absolutely not true. How can things be given as news that I have never thought about," the newspaper quotes the Italian prime minister.

"Il Foglio" in its article about Meloni's villa in Palasa referred to political and diplomatic sources in the Albanian government, where it reported that the villa was part of a resort and had a swimming pool, private garden and sea view, where its price goes to hundreds of thousands of euros.

The news was also reported by many other media, being connected with the construction of refugee camps in Shengjin and Gjadër, where the African refugees caught on the Italian coast will be accommodated.

In short, the hypothetical purchase of the villa in Albania would be (also) a kind of favor from Meloni to Rama (or vice versa). But according to Corrieres, all of this is untrue and part of a smear campaign against the Italian prime minister.
