Prekaz: November 28, the foundation of Albanian history and national identity

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, paid tribute at the "Adem Jashari" Memorial Complex in Prekaz on the occasion of November 28, describing this date as one of the most important for the history and national identity of Albanians.

"November 28 started with Skënderbeu in Krujë, continued with Ismail Qemali in Vlorë, but recently also with Adem Jashar and the Jashars here in Prekaz, the capital of the Albanian uprising," Kurti said, calling this a fundamental date for history and consciousness national Albanians.

The Prime Minister recalled the first public announcement of the Kosovo Liberation Army on November 28, 1997 in Llaushë, a moment that, according to him, determined the path to the liberation of Kosovo in June 1999.

"I want to wish all Albanians wherever they are the celebration of the flag and independence, mentioning the importance of the historical and symbolic connection between Prekazi, Vlora and Kruja," emphasized Kurti, who also paid tribute in Vlora to commemorate the 112- the anniversary of the declaration of Independence of Albania.

The president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, was also present at the ceremony organized in Prekaz, who pointed out the importance of protecting the freedom and independence of Kosovo in an uncompromising way. "This date is a symbiosis of historical moments that exalt the Albanian nation," she said, mentioning the birth of Adem Jashari and the contribution of the Jashari family to the fight for freedom.
