Last night was held the final night of the "Beer Festival" where the main guest singer was Serbian artist Goran Bregovic for whom there has been much controversy over his presence. We recall that all Kosovo Albanian artists withdrew from the "Beer Festival" precisely because of Bregovic, who is said to have inspired Serbian soldiers during the war in Kosovo, where hundreds of thousands of Albanians were massacred.

Despite controversy and petitions, his arrival was not canceled. Bregovic started the evening with the song "Kosovarja" and closed it with the song "Kalashnikov", which is claimed to be the song that inspired the Serbian army.

Before singing it, Bregovic said that this song is fun and for people who like to carry guns and that he hopes to never hear those words again.

I will end the concert with a song entitled "Kalashnikov". It’s a somewhat ironic song, a fun song, for some people who like to carry guns. It's a joke! In my country soldiers say "Jurish!" Your soldiers say "On the attack" before taking action! I hope these words will not hear  me  again. "I hope you will never hear these two words except here today in this song."

Recall that during the evening there was an incident where tear gas was thrown during the concert.
