Rama appointed him to 'Finance', Ervin Mete was denounced a month ago: He sheltered the directors of Ahmetaj when he led the AMF

Prime Minister Edi Rama has proposed new names for the new government cabinet.

The Minister of Finance and Economy will be Ervin Mete, who replaced Delina Ibrahimaj in this post.

Ervin Mete is not an unfamiliar name.

In the period 2013-2017, he was number two of the Ministry of Economy, when it was headed by Arben Ahmetaj.

He has been targeted by the opposition, and for this reason, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has published an investigative article that analyzed the links between the government and corrupt affairs. 

Berisha emphasized that the directors that Arben Ahmetaj has had (currently wanted), in the institutions he has run, are employed by the Financial Supervision Agency, where Ervin Mete was the director. 

Alda Klosi, from whom the sanitation worker extorted more than 500,000 euros, turned out to be employed by the AMF. 

Another former director of Ahmetaj employed by Ervin Mete was Mimoza Kaçi.
