The administrator of 'Kurum', director of the DP campaign? Bardhi:

"Kurum International" has returned to the center of criticism after the scandal with the delivery of toxic waste to the former Metallurgical Plant of Elbasan towards Thailand.

The head of the Parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has accused the Port of Durrës and the Albanian government of this scandal.

Meanwhile, the media close to the government have published several documents that show that the director of Gazmend Bardhi's Electoral Headquarters in Elbasan during the 2021 elections, Lorenc Hastopalli, is the administrator of the company "Energy Resources" or formerly "Kurum Energy", with production and trading activities electricity.

Stale humor from Balluk-mediat! The company "Kurum International" is suspected of having violated the law on the way of processing the hazardous waste it produces. The responsible authorities are suspected of having violated the law by not acting and allowing their export outside the territory in violation of international conventions. The government and the responsible authorities have been silent for 3 weeks and do not act by not making any transparency on this matter, while the scandal has reached national and international proportions.

But for Balluk-media, which does not care about the truth, but the manipulation of the truth with propaganda, the opposition is to blame for not acting, since it is an employee of one of the many companies of the network of companies that Kurum has in Albania ( without any connection with the former Metallurgical where such waste is produced) has been engaged in the PD campaign headquarters in Elbasan.

So for Balluk-media, the fault lies not with the owners of the Kurum International company who receive the benefits and are protected by the Government, nor with the responsible government institutions which do not act and allow illegality, but hundreds and thousands of employees of the Kurum company throughout Albania (mainly from my area electoral district, Elbasani) who have decided to live with honest work in a company that carries out activities licensed by the Albanian state. The truth is quite the opposite of what the Balluk media portrays. It was the opposition and only the opposition, including the media not controlled by the "Belinda cake" and the hazardous waste mafia that controls the Port of Durrës, that sought and made transparency about the illegal transportation of toxic waste.

I remain faithful to my public reaction of August 21, 2024, that if the company "Kurum International" has lied to cover its violation of the law, this should be immediately accompanied by strong punishment measures from the responsible institutions. As I remain faithful to my public position dated August 28, 2024 that the affair of the international traffic of hazardous toxic waste can never be realized without the support, inaction or complicity of the state authorities, and that the responsibility, inaction or violation of the law by private companies licensed by the Government means inaction and lack of supervision by the state authorities that have allowed private abuse.

I understand Balluk - the national media who are not aware of the reactions and attitudes of the opposition, and make fake news to silence the opposition, because they have long decided not to reflect the attitudes and reactions due to criminal interests related to the Government and its affairs of opposition representatives, even though they are media broadcasters with a national license and therefore use rights that are considered public property. I repeat that the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party will use all mechanisms of parliamentary control for the full clarification of this issue, starting with the beginning of the parliamentary session with the request for an urgent interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama, to make transparency on actions and inactions of all state government institutions for the case, as well as the complete disclosure of this issue.
