Sula's denunciation: The number of soft animals is falling! Greece, Hungary

Democratic MP Dashnor Sula says that Albania is running out of local products.

Through a post on Facebook, Sula has denounced that the number of soft animals bred by livestock farmers in Albania is falling at a very high rate.

According to him, the domestic market is being occupied by Greece, Hungary, Kosovo and other Balkan countries.

The reaction of the DP MP

Albania is running out of local products!

????A few days ago I denounced how the milk coming from Hungary is replacing the local one and the livestock farmers in Albania are abandoning the village and emigrating. Not because they want to leave, but because they face unequal competition. Their milk costs more than the one that comes from Hungary (despite the long way) because in Albania the hand of the state is not felt to help you but to sink you.

With the facts of the institutions of this government today, I want to denounce another phenomenon.

The number of soft animals that are bred by livestock farmers in Albania is falling at very high rates. Meanwhile, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo and other Balkan countries are occupying the local market.

We have hundreds and thousands of Albanians who have immigrated to Greece for decades. They are forced to work in the camps of Greece, far from their homeland. They achieve great results in foreign countries, while in Albania they fail to survive. Of course, this is not their fault, but the government's policies.

INSTAT data on foreign trade in the first quarter of 2024 show that the import of live animals in quantity increased by 62%, while a year ago in this period the annual change was 22%.

The data show that almost 30% of the amount of live animals comes from Greece and is slaughtered for meat in Albania.

While the number of cattle for breeding, which usually come from the Netherlands and Denmark, is quite low and almost negligible compared to imports for meat.

It is inconceivable that a country with so many hard-working and noble people like Albania, with the fields of Myzeqe, Dumre, with the northern Alps, would import frozen meat from outside the country while we could consume fresh meat, fresh milk from our farms .

Tourists who come to Albania want to try local products because otherwise they wonder why they come all the way to Albania to consume lamb that grows in the Greek state and waits for some time in the refrigerator and travels thousands of kilometers in conditions that do not know how to get to In our country.
