'Open Balkan', Basha: What is not good for Kosovo cannot be good for Albania

DP leader Lulzim Basha commented on the 'Open Balkan' initiative, an initiative that Kosovo has refused to participate in.

During his speech in the Assembly, Basha says that what is not good for Kosovo cannot be good for Albania.

Basha's speech:

The only thing I want to dwell on is what you call the program, the Novisad initiative.

What motivates the contempt for the Berlin Process initiated by Germany and which has the political and financial support of the EU, the main member states of the Union and brings together all the Balkan countries, and what forces you to invest so strongly in a parallel initiatives created in Novisad and as the highest authority has Vucic.

The answer is simple. You are not at all interested in the process and the result of regional cooperation but only in boasting as regional leaders in front of the peoples you have left in the mud from corruption and your links to organized crime.

Successful processes are always long and difficult, but corrupt autocrats only care about their political time, not the people. 

The way for Albania would be to focus all the energies on the Berlin Process, on the absorption of the funds made available - but here lies the problem that you can not steal them - and on the mechanisms to bring closer the countries of the region and for you given to Kosovo the place it deserves, as an equal state between the states of the region, in every agreement and document.

But you prioritize the initiative of Novi Sad, which is remembered only for the attacks you make on the leadership of Kosovo whenever you gather for the occasion, and for your shame even when you have on your side the initiator of the Berlin Process as happened 2 days ago .

Pas cdo resme që Vucic bën me ju, maskohet ambicia e tij për atë qe ai e quan “bota serbe”, fshihet spastrimi etnik i luginës së Presheves përmes pasivizimit të adresave, privimi që iu bën shqiptarëve të tre komunave, Preshevës, Medvegjës e Bujanocit të së drejtës për t’u punësuar e zhvilluar ekonomikisht, fshihen ambiciet për të kontrolluar dhe tollovitur Malin e Zi, sic ndodhi pak kohë më parë kur kërcënoi luftë civile.  E reagimi yt ndaj kësaj sjellje janë sulmet nga liderëve të Kosovës që refuzojnë një gjë të tillë.

Bashkëpunimi rajonal nuk mundet kurrë të nisë nga Novi Sadi, por nga Mitrovica, shqetësimi ynë duhet të jenë shqiptarët e Luginës së Preshevës, sic janë per Vucicin ato të serbeve të Kosovës. Marrëdheniet ndërshtetërore dhe fqinjësia e mirë ngrihen mbi baza proporcionaliteti dhe jo vasaliteti.

In these processes, Albania has only one task, to support Kosovo, because what is not good for Kosovo cannot be good for Albania.
