Avoiding the confrontation with the opposition in the Parliament for the "McGonigal" scandal, Rama "appeared" on three TVs from his office

Prime Minister Edi Rama did not appear yesterday at the plenary session of the Assembly where he was called to an urgent questioning by the opposition MPs to give explanations on the "McGonigal" case, as a former high official of the FBI is accused of benefits, trips and meetings undeclared in Albania, including those with Rama.

The President of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, announced that the Prime Minister had delegated the Minister of State, Elisa Spiropali, to answer the questions of the deputies on his behalf, which was opposed by the opposition.

The plenary session became tense after the opposition blocked the floor demanding that the agenda not be continued without the prime minister coming to answer about the connection with the "McGonigal" file.

Rama himself preferred to respond on Twitter to what was happening in the Assembly, calling the opposition's request an abuse of freedom of speech.

"Whoever has two brains understands what this whole political and media self-judgment hysteria is about a trial in America for an FBI official whom the nongrata justice here claims was corrupted by me, while the American justice s "There is no accusation or claim" - wrote Rama.

Ndërkohë, Rama shfaqet në ‘prime-time-et’ e darkës, duke u shfaqur si asnjëherë më parë në tre ekrane të ndryshme televizive brenda dy orësh.

Fillimisht, Rama flet për Grida Dumën, ish deputete e PD në Top Channel përmes lidhjes me Skype nga zyra e tij.

Ndërsa mohonte lidhjet me ish zyrtarin e FBI, ndër të tjera, Rama sqaroi se nuk u përball me opozitën në Kuvend sipas tij nuk e meriton përgjigjen e tij.

“Ata nuk meritojnë përgjigjen time. Kam rënë shpesh herë ne nivelin e tyre dhe jam bërë kontirbutor për neveritjen dhe helmimin e njerëzve nga debatin politik. Ata nga unë kanë marrë gjithçka që mund të merrnin dhe unë nuk kam më gjë për ta”, tha Rama në një bisedë që zgjati mbi 30 minuta.

Pas pak minutash, Rama shfaqet në një tjetër ekran, në Euroneës Albania në emisionin ‘Now’ të Erla Mëhillit.

Ndër të tjera, Rama tha se nuk i ka dhënë asnjë document ish-zyrtarit të FBI-së për financimet ruse në Partinë Demokratike, ndërsa iu shmang përballjes me panelistët, deputetin e PD Agron Shehaj dhe analistin Andi Bushati. Madje, këta të fundit i quajti ‘prokurorë popullorë’.

Në shenjë proteste, Bushati u largua për disa minuta nga paneli.

Ishte vetë Rama ai që përcaktoi kohën e secilit emision ku u shfaq i ftuar, ndërsa në ‘Now’ la në mes diskutimin pasi në studio të ftuarit i kërkonin sqarime për skandalin McGonigal’.

Më pas, Rama del në një tjetër tv, në MCN me Ylli Rakipin, ku biseda zgjati gati një orë.
