Two German tourists lose their way to the "Cave of Pigeon"

Two German tourists, mother and son, lost their way during an exploration in the popular tourist area "Pëllumbasit Cave", near Tirana. The incident happened this morning, while the authorities were notified immediately after losing contact with tourists.

In a quick reaction, the services of Police Station No. 1 in cooperation with the Alpine Unit of the National Security Force organized the search and rescue operation. After several hours of intensive searches, the two German citizens were located and found in good health.

"Our services were engaged immediately after receiving the information and thanks to the cooperation with the Alpine Unit, it became possible to find the missing tourists," says the official announcement of the Tirana Police.

The tourists expressed their gratitude for the quick intervention and professionalism shown by the Albanian security structures. The Tirana Police has emphasized its continuous commitment to guarantee the safety of tourists and invites all visitors to, in case of need, immediately call the free number 112.

This occasion comes as a reminder of the importance of preparation and care during outdoor explorations, as well as the vital role of emergency structures in ensuring public safety.
