How much does hourly parking cost in the capital?

An employee must pay a minimum of 500 to a maximum of 800 lek per day if they leave their vehicle in one of the parking lots or streets of Tirana near their workplace.

If he leaves it every day for 22 working days of the month, for the whole year, he has to spend from 132 thousand lek to 210 thousand lek, or 1350 to 2,160 euros, just to secure a parking space. Monthly parking expenses are calculated from 113 to 180 euros.


The parking lot at "Skënderbej" Square is the first underground public parking lot built by the Municipality of Tirana, inaugurated in 2017.

The parking fee for up to 3 hours of stay is 200 lekë; for 3 to 8 hours of stay, 500 lekë; for 8 to 12 hours of stay, the fee is 800 lekë and for 12 to 24 hours of stay, the fee is 500 lekë. The Municipality of Tirana offers the same fees for public parking lots such as: the one at “7 Xhuxhat” built in 2019; at “Italia” Square near the “Air Albania” stadium, built in 2020.

Meanwhile, in underground parking lots, such as the one at Bulevardi i Ri built in 2017 and the parking lot at Kopshti Zoologij, which was built in 2022, the offered rates are lower. For up to 3 hours of stay, the rate is 100 lek; for 3 to 8 hours of stay, 250 lek, and from 8 to 24 hours of stay, 300 lek.

In private underground parking lots, daily rates are more expensive.

Referring to the temporary daily parking fees for vehicles published by the “Toptani” shopping center, for 1 hour of parking, the price is 100 lek. The fee is 200 lek for 1-3 hours of parking; 500 lek for 3-5 hours of parking; 600 lek for 5-8 hours of parking; 800 lek for 8-10 hours of parking; 1,200 lek for 10-16 hours of parking and 1,500 lek for 16-24 hours of parking.

At the Plaza Hotel, daily parking prices start from 200 lek for 1 hour; 300 lek for 2 hours; 400 lek for 3 hours; 500 lek for 4 hours; 600 lek for 5 hours; 700 lek for 6 hours; 800 lek for 7 hours up to 1,500 lek for 24 hours.

In the public parking lots of the Municipality of Tirana, parking fees range from 200 to 800 lekë, depending on the hours of stay. For up to 3 hours of stay, the fee is 200 lekë, from 3 to 8 hours of stay the fee is 500 lekë; from 8 to 12 hours of stay, it is 800 lekë and 500 lekë is the fee paid for parking from 12 to 24 hours.

In private parking lots, vehicle parking fees are several times higher. Hourly fees range from 100 lek to 300 lek.

In the private parking lot next to the Parliament building, the published parking fee is 150 lek/hour. For up to 8 hours of stay, the parking fee reaches 1,200 lek.

In the parking lot near the "Petro Nini Luarasi" high school, parking costs 300 lek/hour.

The Municipality of Paris also offers private parking in the open square at a price of 200 lek/hour.

How much does the monthly parking fee vary?

In public parking lots, the monthly fee for parking a vehicle ranges from 5,000 to 12,000 lek.

At the public underground parking lot at Skanderbeg Square, the monthly subscription fee is 12,300 lek. At other public parking lots, such as near the Zoo, the lake, and the Train Station, the monthly package is 5,000 lek.

For families in residential complexes or buildings, monthly parking fees start from 6 thousand lekë to 12 thousand lekë per month. In the former Blloku area, the monthly package reaches up to 20 thousand lekë.

In the Fresku area, the monthly parking fee has reached 6,000 lek. In Kinostudio, 7,000 – 8,000 to 10,000 lek. In the Paris Municipality, 8,000 to 12,000 lek. At “Ekspozita Building”, the monthly parking subscription package is 10,000 lek.

Near the “Toptani” shopping center and the “Plaza” hotel, the monthly parking fee is 15,000 lek. At the “Plaza” hotel, the monthly fee for periodic weekly subscriptions, from Monday to Friday, is 12,000 lek in total./MONITOR
