This Saturday, the final farewell was given to 64-year-old Gjovalin Prendi, who was killed two days ago in Lezha.

The funeral ceremony was reportedly held under strict security measures. Police took action after the victim's family, specifically the deceased son of 64-year-old Roan Brahimi, had many conflicts with criminal groups.

Another detail that has led to strict security measures is the fact that the target of the assassination attempt is suspected to have been Roan Brahimi's daughter-in-law and not the 64-year-old.

Roan Brahimi himself was executed in May of last year in Athens, in front of his second wife and child.

Police have also conducted searches in the homes of the Reci tribe in Mirdita, where several people have been killed by both sides due to the conflict with the Gjini tribe.

Gjovalin Prendi, 65, was executed on the evening of April 17 in the village of Pllanë, Lezha, while he was drinking coffee in his cafe. It is suspected that the perpetrators were three, who, with their four-wheel drive vehicle, stopped near the business of Sidorel Prendi's father, better known as Roan Brahimi.

Two of them, masked, got out of the vehicle and fired a barrage of bullets at Prendi. They are suspected of having been observing their target and as soon as they saw him at the door of the bar, they shot him, hitting the victim in the chest.
