The release from prison of the former Minister of the Interior, Saimir Tahiri, caused quite a stir in the Albanian media. Lawyer Jordan Daci also spoke about this matter, who commented on the possibilities for him to be acquitted in the Supreme Court.

In the "Review" show on Euronews Albania, Daci emphasized the bad luck of the former minister is that we are in the phase of justice reform, where people are eager to see victims who are punished by the court.

He underlined that he wishes that the justice system will give a fair decision based on evidence and balancing Tahir's interest with the interest of the whole society.

"The best feature of a judge is humanity. I value a judge who allows mistakes and be humane more than being harsh and producing repressive justice. The latter produces more negative effects, but unfortunately Saimir Tahir's bad luck is that we are at a stage where the public is like in the situation of Jesus who wants blood. For examples, he needs to see the victims, and why they often make a hole for someone and then fall in themselves. This is the climate, this is the phase we are in, and I wish that the system balances either his personal interest or our interest as a society", said Daci.
